Superior Grill
Superior is the perfect restaurant to sample excellent drinks and overpriced Mexican food. Both the environment and menu are typical of any higher-end Tex-Mex restaurant across the country. A highlight is their happy hour special, two for one margaritas, which is usually as good as it gets. The food is nothing to rave about, but everything I have ever ordered is adequate, and is as much as can be expected. The menu is diverse and offers most anything that you would like, although their lunch specials leave much to be desired. They do offer one top drawer item; the white queso dip is superb and complements their delicious margaritas perfectly. The staff is always courteous and attentive; we usually come to this restaurant with a large group of twenty-somethings, and they are always more than willing to accommodate. Additionally, during Mardi Gras, this is a great place to come get a fresh, cool drink. While the happy hour special is a great deal, the price of their food is a bit higher than you would expect based upon the quality of their fare. They do, however, have an excellent children's menu and several high chairs; they have always been more than accommodating to our daughter, who at the moment has the inclination to roam. We eat here on a semi-regular basis, but more because it is a good place to gather socially than because the food is so good that we simply must come back to. We enjoy the restaurant and will go back, but it could be better. We give Superior Grill 2 and a half stars.
