Step Brothers (2008)
Step Brothers was so funny that I wish my parents would get divorced and remarry so that I could participate in the hilarity. This movie is hysterical start to finish. Two forty year old idiots are forced to live together when their parents marry. Will Ferrell, is as always, hilarious. Everything that he says is funny, but the expressions that he makes and the way he delivers his lines makes almost everything he does impossible not to laugh at. Similar to Talladega Nights, John C. Reilly is perfect, although I would say he was funnier in Step Brothers than in the former. He is akin to Vince Vaughn in Old School, in that he almost steals the spotlight of this movie. One of the best parts of this movie is the supporting cast. The Daily Show's Rob Riggle has a relatively large role, and is hilarious throughout. Seth Rogen even makes an appearance, in one the funniest fart-joke scenes I have seen since Family Guy. If you are the type of person who does not like foul language, this movie is not for you. The ubiquitous use of the word fuck throughout the film gets funnier and funnier as it progresses. My wife saw this movie and loved it. I would say this is easily my favorite Will Ferrell movie since Old School, and I imagine, much like every Will Ferrell movie, that Step Brothers gets funnier and funnier the more that you see it. I give Step Brothers 4 stars.
