Little Children (2007)
If you're interested in seeing a slowish movie with a lot of nudity and a great finale, Little Children is the one for you. This is a very interesting film about a man and a woman who are both in bad marriages that are able to find some semblance of happiness with each other. A sex offender has moved into their neighborhood, putting everyone on edge, and in the end, all of their lives become intertwined. I liked this movie, it is very well acted. Kate Winslet is one of the best actresses of her generation, and is certainly on the way to winning an Oscar. She does a terrific job in this role, really displaying her versatility. Little Children is a little bit slow, and there is really nothing incredibly gripping about it until the end. That said, there is a terrific finish to this movie that makes it totally worth while. This movie is sublty clever, and overall, quite enjoyable, and although my wife did not watch this movie with me, I think she would have liked it. Interestingly enough, the Little Children is actually narrated through much of the movie, which works really well for this film. I give Little Children 3 stars.
