one out of every two Ben Stiller movies turns out to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen; fortunately, this was not one of those. Ben takes a job as night watchmen at a museum where the exhibits come to life in order to win back his son's respect. This movie is about as enjoyable as a kids movie can be. It does a really good job of infusing adult humor into a movie that would be hilarious to children between the ages of around six to fourteen. Ben Stiller is the perfect actor for this movie; he does a great job of portraying the sad-sack who is down on his luck, but is eventually able to turn his life around and win the affections of his son. There are also a number of excellent actors playing smaller roles in this movie, such as Owen Wilson, Robin Williams, Dick van Dyke and Mickey Roonie, just to name a few; the cast is phenomenal. Being that it is in a museum, this movie actually has some educational value. There is nothing to be learned from it by an adult, but there is a lot of good information in it for a child in grade school. I enjoyed this movie, as did my wife, and I would gladly let my daughter watch when she's old enough to enjoy it. I give Night at the Museum 3 stars.
